5 weeks old!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 5 weeks since the puppies arrived.
It’s getting really busy here. We started taking the puppies outside yesterday. Today it was about 4 degrees so they went out for about 10 minutes at at time. We’re using the word “potty” so they will hopefully start to associate “potty” with pottying. 🙂 They all go each time they are put out, and are praised bigtime, so hopefully when they go to their new homes, they’ll be ahead of the curve on potty training.
Some of them met the chickens yesterday. Florence, Pirate and Bananaz seemed most interested and circled the pen (herding behavior?) Over the next few weeks, they will have more time with the chickens because we’d like them to get used to them running free in the yard. At least one future puppy home has chickens, like us.
Florence and Snap got to take a trip to the vet (my work) today. They weighed 6.4 and 6.6 pounds respectively. They traveled well in the car and got lots of petties while there. Florence met the clinic cat, which is good, because we don’t have a kitty here to introduce them to.
When I picked up food at the feed store today I was reminded that I forgot to tell some of you about the foods we recommend. The puppies are currently eating Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Chicken. They are on this mostly because Darcy came to us eating ProPlan. Claudia is on California Natural Low Fat. This is one of the brands we like. Fred and Stella eat a variety of foods. (We rotate foods every few bags) The last food they were on was Fromm Surf and Turf. Before that, Eagle Pac. Before that EVO, etc. Those are all brands that we like and recommend.
We’re getting questions about puppies that are available.
As of right now, Snap is the only puppy that is for sure available. Bananaz and Bindi are reserved by great families. Florence, Suh, Pirate and Picklez are in limbo with us. Of course this could change in the next few weeks. 🙂

Hopefully tomorrow I’ll update the website with more individual photos.
Here are a few to start.
